ArmInfo. On September 10, the National Assembly of Armenia approved the draft law of the Republic  of Armenia "On Ratifying the Framework Agreement on the International Solar Alliance Fund." "Armenia can become the 98th country to ratify the  framework agreement, and Armenia's participation in the Alliance will  be quite useful," Vardanyan stated while presenting the document. He  added that this will be an important platform for exchanging  experiences among the participating countries.

The official signing ceremony of the Framework Agreement "On the  Establishment of the International Solar Alliance" by Armenia took  place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia  on November 16, 2023. It was noted that Armenia's accession to the  International Solar Alliance is an important step towards combating  climate change, developing renewable and green energy resources, and  ensuring energy access and security.

The International Solar Alliance was established through the joint  efforts of India and France towards working together to combat  climate change and harness solar energy resources. The concept of the  alliance was developed in 2015. The decision-making body of the  Alliance is the Assembly, convened once a year at the level of  ministers of the relevant industries from the member states. The  Alliance is headquartered in India.
