ArmInfo.USAID funding under the grant agreement on cooperation with Armenia will be doubled -  from $120 million to $250 million, and the areas of joint projects will be expanded.

As reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the  Republic of Armenia, the relevant amendments to the agreement , dated June 29, 2022, were signed by Deputy Prime  Minister Mher Grigoryan and Director of the Armenian Mission of the  United States Agency for International Development (USAID) John  Allelo.

According to Mher Grigoryan, not only financial support is important  for Armenia, but also democratic values, creative ideas and a  developed business culture, promoted as a result of our joint  programs. "The latter's investments in our country allow us to carry  out fundamental reforms and improve the quality of life of citizens,"  said the Deputy Prime Minister, thanking the United States for  supporting the implementation of Armenia's ambitious reform program.

John Allelo, in turn, said that this change shows the United States'  commitment to partnership with Armenia.
