Armenia, Hungary to continue developing cooperation in sectoral  directions along with active political dialogue

ArmInfo. On September 10, within the framework of the "Yerevan Dialogue" international forum,  Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Peer Szijjarto, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.

The interlocutors discussed issues of bilateral agenda, expressing  readiness to continue developing cooperation in sectoral directions  along with the active political dialogue. The Ministers stressed the  importance of additional joint efforts in order to expand the scope  of cooperation, especially in the field of economy and trade. The  Ministers also touched upon the steps being taken to implement the  mutual agreement on the opening of resident diplomatic missions in  the capitals of the two countries.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Peter Szijjarto discussed the process aimed at  deepening the Armenia-EU partnership.  The Foreign Minister of  Armenia emphasized that the decision on the Visa Liberalization  Dialogue with Armenia was actually made in the EU Council during the  current presidency of Hungary and expressed hope that during the next  months of the presidency the negotiations on expanding the new agenda  of the Armenia-EU partnership and approving the corresponding  document will be successful.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Hungary exchanged views on  regional issues. Ararat Mirzoyan reaffirmed Armenia's approach to the  peace process with Azerbaijan, which was reflected in the latest  proposal on the signing of the peace treaty as well as in the  "Crossroads of Peace" concept of unblocking regional communications.
