ArmInfo. Currently, the Ministry of Economy's agenda includes infrastructure reforms to implement the policy developed by the department. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia Sevak Mikaelyan during a roundtable discussion on "Technology Transfer in Armenia".
The discussions were initiated by the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the US Department of Commerce under the coordination of the US Embassy in Armenia. At the same time, he emphasized that the main goal of the Ministry of Economy is to promote the development of a knowledge-intensive, highly productive economy in the Republic of Armenia, contributing to the formation of a favorable environment for innovative and competitive entrepreneurship, as well as the development of small and medium-sized businesses, creative economy, the introduction of effective mechanisms for research and development, commercialization of scientific results and technology transfer.
Innovative growth, according to the Deputy Minister, can help Armenia diversify its economy, reduce dependence on traditional sectors and create new opportunities for growth and development.
"By investing in research and development, Armenia can also contribute to the development of human capital and knowledge transfer. This can also lead to the creation of highly skilled jobs, attracting foreign investment and economic well-being," said Sevak Mikaelyan
