
ArmInfo.Owners of flooded cars will be able to receive compensation for damage caused to vehicles by the flood on May 25-26 in Lori and Tavush regions. The corresponding resolution was approved at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Armenia on September 19.
According to the explanation of the document, the Republican Commission summed up the damage caused to citizens' vehicles as a result of the emergency. The administration of Tavush region will have to compensate 31 million 240 thousand drams for 30 vehicles damaged as a result of the natural disaster, and Lori - 91,139,000 drams for 161 cars.
In this regard, the government proposes to allocate 122 million 380 thousand drams from the reserve fund.
On May 26, a flood occurred in the north of Armenia, caused by heavy rainfall, torrential rain and the overflow of the Debed and Aghstev rivers, which led to significant destruction of infrastructure and the death of 4 people. The disaster damaged roads, bridges and railways. In order to eliminate the consequences of the disaster, an operational group was formed under the leadership of the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Gnel Sanosyan. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, 429 people were rescued and evacuated from various settlements in the Lori and Tavush regions.
