The State Revenue Committee of Armenia has revealed a shadow turnover of about 17.2 billion drams, and the amount of hidden tax was about 4.4 billion drams, of which 800 million drams have already been restored to the state budget of the country. This was reported by the press service of the department.
The source notes that in July-September 2024, 97 operational investigative measures were carried out using modern information technologies to identify cases of tax evasion. In particular, the measures taken concerned business entities engaged in trade in construction materials, food products, fruits and vegetables, clothing, furniture, household goods, household appliances, cosmetics, diesel fuel, as well as catering and hotel services.
As part of the measures taken, shadow turnover in the amount of about 17.2 billion drams was identified, and the amount of hidden tax was about 4.4 billion drams, 800 million of which have already been restored to the state budget of the country.
If there were appropriate grounds, criminal cases were initiated by the Investigative Committee. "Currently, measures are being taken to clarify the final amount of damage caused to the state and compensate it in the state budget," the State Revenue Committee emphasized in a statement.
