ArmInfo.90% of mutual trade in the EAEU is carried out in national currency. This was stated to journalists on the sidelines of the Eurasian Forum on September 30 by the Minister of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Bakhyt Sultanov.
"And the development of financial systems, the docking of our payment systems plays a very big role in this direction," he said.
The minister called the financial market one of the important elements of economic integration, one of the four freedoms.
"This is a somewhat complicated issue, since there are many external factors that influence this process. We had to complete the harmonization of our common financial market, the harmonization of legislation. And in this direction, active work is currently underway at all sites, including with our regulators," the minister emphasized.
Years earlier, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, who then held the post of Minister for Economy and Financial Policy of the EEC, noted that the issue of forming a common financial market stems from the union treaty, according to which a common financial market of the EAEU countries should be formed by 2025.
