ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the jubilee award ceremony dedicated to the 20th anniversary of "Synopsis Armenia" with the slogan "Recognize the best, inspire the next" at Al. Spendiaryan National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet.
During the solemn evening, programs aimed at the development of the IT sector were presented, which were implemented in collalaboration of the Government of Armenia, the educational system, and business and public organizations. This year, for the 20th time, 37 winners - 31 students and 6 pupils, were awarded annual educational awards.
The awards were presented by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The Prime Minister congratulated "Synopsys Armenia" company on the occasion of its 20th anniversary and noted that it is an important event for "Synopsys Armenia" company, both the "Synopsys" company and the Republic of Armenia. The Head of the Government noted that the company is one of the leaders of the technology sector in Armenia, which has created a new work environment, a new work culture, and new labor relations. According to the Prime Minister, the company combined work with creativity, constantly encouraged healthy lifestyle, environmental perception, social responsibility and, most importantly, constantly encouraged education and tried to support talented people.
Nikol Pashinyan emphasized. "I am convinced that every person is an exceptional talent, every child is an exceptional talent. Another thing is how well they or their environment manage to discover that talent, to relate to each child's unique talent. In my assessment and perception, education is just that tool: to relate a person with his own talent, to give a person the opportunity to recognize his own opportunities, to expand those opportunities, to use those opportunities for creative purposes.
The Prime Minister emphasized the role of "Synopsys" in the sense of changing the attitude towards education and emphasized that even today in Armenia there is a very important problem of changing the attitude towards education, in playgrounds, villages, districts, even in universities. Nikol Pashinyan stressed that this is an important issue of national security.
"The most important component of security is to identify the potential, talent, opportunities of people, children, students, adult citizens in one's own country, and to transform this identified opportunity and talent, as it is customary to say, into added value. And this is exactly a problem that is nationwide, and in this regard, the Government considers all those companies, all those individuals who base their activities on this logic and attach great importance to this as partners."
According to the Prime Minister, the most important result of any work is the legacy that should be formed after it. "And it's very important to have people who pick up that baton and do more than what's been done before them. And today's award ceremony is perhaps just about that."
The annual educational award for the best students in the field of IT was established in 2005 with the aim of recognizing the best and encouraging the next ones to choose the field of IT as the fastest growing and with ever-increasing demand for manpower.
