Armenia to implement digital system for employment contracts

ArmInfo. A digital system for concluding employment contracts will be implemented in Armenia. At  the meeting on October 15, the RA National Assembly Committee on Labor and Social Affairs provided a positive conclusion on the amendments to the Labor Code proposed by the RA government.  

RA  Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ruben Sargsyan stated  that the new legislative will make contracts in digital format,  reducing paperwork and speeding up various processes. "The system  will be entirely digital, developed by the State Revenue Committee.  The contract will be signed documents with electronic signature,"  Sargsyan explained.

At the same time, he mentioned that during the first stage - from  July 1, 2025 to January 1, 2026 - the system will be tested in pilot  program. Starting January 1, 2026, it will be mandatory for everyone,  meaning that all contracts must be signed exclusively using the  electronic program of the system," the deputy minister explained.  Sargsyan also highlighted that Armenia will be the first country to  implement this system "Therefore, we have decided to implement this  in two stages to allow people to prepare, especially in terms of  information literacy," the official added.
