ArmInfo.Lonely Planet, one of the world's leading tourism media, has included Armenia in the list of the best tourist destinations in their "Best in Travel 2025" publication.
This was reported by the press service of the Tourism Committee of Armenia. In this regard, Susanna Hakobyan, the Acting Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia, noted that this recognition highlights the uniqueness, rich history and hospitality that make Armenia truly special.
We will add that according to the Tourism Committee, 1.48 million tourists visited Armenia in January- August 2024, which is 6.3% lower than the previous year. Traditionally, the lion's share of tourists who prefer to vacation in Armenia are citizens of the Russian Federation (43.2%), followed by tourists from Georgia (11.9%), Iran (7.5%), the USA (2.7%), India (2.1%), France (1.4%), as well as from Ukraine, China and Germany (1.3% each) and the Philippines (1.1% each).
