Minister:  In 2024, Iran to supply Armenia with significantly higher  amount of natural gas compared to previous years

ArmInfo.In 2024, the volume of natural gas supplied by Iran to Armenia is expected to significantly exceed the volumes from previous years.

This was stated by Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and  Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, during parliamentary  hearings on the draft state budget for 2025 on November 4th According  to him, an agreement was signed between the two countries in October  2022 to extend the barter deal "Gas in exchange for electricity"  until 2030. On average, Armenia received up to 1 million cubic meters  of gas daily. However, it has become apparent that the volumes of  supplies this year will exceed those of in previous years. The  minister believes that the agreement is beneficial for both parties.
