Armenia has traditionally maintained a negative migration balance

ArmInfo. In January-September 2024, the negative migration balance in Armenia decreased by 24.5% over the year, amounting to -20.366 thousand people (citizens of Armenia).

According to the data of the Statistical Committee, 1.571 million RA citizens entered our country during the reporting period, and 1.592 million RA citizens left. In total, 3.620 million people arrived in Armenia from abroad, and 3.626 million people left. Thus, the total migration balance is also negative, and it was registered at the level of -6.125 thousand people (having decreased by 42.4% over the year). According to the data of the Passport and Visa Center of the RA Police, a total of 101.668 thousand people registered in the Republic of Armenia during the reporting period, which is 2.7 times higher than the figure of a year ago.

They were mainly citizens from the Republic of Artsakh, the Russian Federation, Georgia, Syria, Iran, the USA, Lebanon and France. 28,520 thousand people were removed from the register. (with an annual decrease of 2.6%). The vast majority of those who have been de-registered are citizens of Russia, France, Georgia, the USA, Germany, etc. For tourist purposes in January-September 2024. 1.72 million tourists visited Armenia, which is 7% less than a year ago.
