Martin Galstyan, Chairman of the Central Bank (CB) of Armenia, took part in a panel discussion at the technological summit , where he discussed the use of artificial intelligence in the financial sector, as reported by the press service of the Central Bank of Armenia. He highlighted the risks and opportunities of AI, emphasizing the dangers of cyberattacks, data quality issues, and competitive inequalities that may affect smaller companies due to the complexity and opacity of the technology.
Additionally, Martin Galstyan pointed out the importance of the opportunities provided by AI in terms of cost reduction, efficiency and productivity improvement. He also highlighted the development of customized services and the creation of new business models. Galstyan noted that alongside these improvements, it is necessary to strictly control risks in the financial sector and ensure equal conditions for everyone.
