ArmInfo. Multi-sectoral cooperation between Armenia and the Netherlands will continue to develop and strengthen. This was announced on November 22 by the RA  Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan at a meeting with the Ambassador  of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia Marieke Harriet  Monroe-Winter.

"Both our countries are supporters of democracy and the rule of law,  and we attach great importance to our economic cooperation," Papoyan  emphasized.

As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy, during  the meeting the parties discussed key areas of cooperation, including  investment opportunities, export diversification, as well as the  development of the agricultural and industrial sectors, including the  pharmaceutical industry.

In this regard, Papoyan recalled that as part of export  diversification, a laboratory for calibration of electrical  quantities, time and frequency has already been opened in Armenia,  which will contribute to improving the quality of products and  services. The Ministry of Economy also added that it is planned to  create three more calibration laboratories equipped with modern  equipment.

In addition, Papoyan presented the government's "Crossroads of the  World" project, which, according to him, could become an important  element of both regional and broader economic cooperation. It should  be noted that according to the RA Statistical Committee, foreign  trade turnover between Armenia and the Netherlands decreased by 53.8%  in January-September 2024, amounting to $123.5 million.
