
ArmInfo. Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Armenia (residence Moscow) Ricardo Martinez Vazquez.
The parties exchanged views on the necessary steps for the development of trade and economic relations between Armenia and Spain, in this regard, they touched upon the possibility of increasing the frequency of direct flights.
They mutually attached importance to the full implementation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) from the perspective of developing relations between Armenia and the EU countries.
During the meeting, Mher Grigoryan, on behalf of the government, expressed condolences to the Spanish diplomat in connection with the hundreds of victims of the devastating flood in the southeastern regions of Spain. In particular, he stressed that Armenia is ready to assist Spain to the best of its ability in mitigating the consequences of the flood.
According to the RA Statistical Committee, foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Spain in January-September 2024 decreased by 6.8%, amounting to $62.7 million. At the same time, exports decreased by 1.1% to $5.6 million, while imports decreased by 7.3% to $57.1 million.
