ArmInfo. Chairman of the Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC) of Armenia Gegham Gevorgyan left for Paris to participate in the 23rd World Conference on Competition of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
As reported by the press service of the CPC, the conference will consider the commission's application submitted to the OECD to determine Armenia's compliance with the principles of transparency and procedural legality in the application of competition law. The heads of competition authorities will also discuss current issues on the global agenda in this area.
The department recalled that the conference annually brings together more than 100 heads of competition organizations, representatives of international organizations and invited experts from around the world.
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is an intergovernmental association of 35 member countries, created in 1961 with the aim of promoting economic development and global trade. It is a forum for states that adhere to democratic principles and a market economy, providing an opportunity to compare political experiences, find solutions to common problems, exchange best practices and coordinate both domestic and international policies of their members.
