ArmInfo. Over the past five years, more than 46,000 violations in the field of intellectual property have been identified in the EAEU, and over 60 million counterfeit goods have been seized. Bakhyt Sultanov, the EEC Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy, made this statement while speaking at the plenary session of the Anti-Counterfeiting Forum.
"Among the counterfeit goods, the most common items include clothing, footwear, games and toys, car parts, food, alcohol, household appliances and electronics," the minister said. According to the press service of the EEC, Sultanov outlined the measures taken by the Commission and the EAEU member states to combat the proliferation of counterfeit products within the Union's internal market. According to him, these measures include the implementation of specialized regulations to create a market for goods, the labeling and traceability of products, and the provision of support for entrepreneur through initiatives such as subsidizing interest rates on loans and credits from financial institutions.
