ArmInfo. Graham Cook, the World Travel Awards founder, has praised Armenia's achievements in tourism. He made this statement during a meeting with Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan and Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of Armenia Lusine Gevorgyan.
During the meeting, Cook presented Armenia's potential as a tourism brand in global markets and spoke about the steps to enhance global recognition and take a leading position in this area. The parties discussed prospects for tourism development in Armenia and new opportunities for international cooperation. Gevorg Papoyan highlighted a significant $100 million investment, supported by the World Bank, aimed at expanding tourism clusters in Armenia. He noted that the World Bank's investment will create tourism clusters in the regions of Armenia to stimulate sector growth and boost the country's economic progress. The Minister also mentioned that the government seeks to develop the potential of the tourism sector through systematic investments and infrastructure development.
