Armenia, Iran discuss tourism cooperation prospects 

ArmInfo. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism at a meeting with a delegation led by Iranian Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri.

As reported by the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy,  during the meeting the parties discussed issues of increasing the  recognition of the tourism potential of both countries, increasing  tourist flows and developing medical tourism.

In this regard, the ministers considered the possibility of holding  the next meeting of the technical commission on cooperation in the  field of tourism, as well as organizing a familiarization visit of  Iranian media representatives to Armenia in 2025.

Papoyan stressed that Armenia attaches great importance to friendship  with Iran and highly values the bilateral relations that have been  formed thanks to centuries-old historical and cultural cooperation.  Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani and Chairperson of the RA  Tourism Committee Lusine Gevorgyan were also present at the meeting.
