In January, Armenia will submit its proposed amendments to the  intergovernmental agreement on television broadcasting to the Russian  side

ArmInfo. The Russian side did not respond to our proposals sent last fall to amend several provisions of the intergovernmental agreement on telecommunications. We intend to send our proposals to them again in January, as stated by the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.

<I cannot predict the exact steps that will follow, but I hope that  our proposals will be discussed and as a result, some changes will be  made to the agreement,> the minister said.  At the same time, he  reported that this issue is also being raised within the framework of  political contacts with Russian partners. According to Hayrapetyan,  during these meetings the Armenian side talks about the fairness of  its expectations, as the agreement has revealed provisions that need  improvement. "Although the agreement is valid until December 2027,  several  provisions need to be reviewed before its term ends," he  noted.
