ArmInfo. A meeting was held in the Armenian government led by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, to discuss a bill regulating the crypto-asset sector.
As reported by the press service of the RA government, the main provisions of the bill, its advantages, risks in the sector, principles of regulation, and types of regulated services were discussed. The main goal of the draft is to limit potential risks in the sector without hindering innovation. It was reported that the draft was developed taking into account international experience, especially that of the European Union. According to the authors of the bill, its regulations will include public placement, services, and trading of crypto- assets. The participants emphasized the importance of information disclosure when selling crypto assets, as well as the need for mandatory access permission for service providers. Pashinyan stressed the need for regulation and instructed to finalize the draft law based on the results of the next discussion, and then submit it for government approval. The Prime Minister emphasized that the law will be constantly improved in the future as necessary.
