ArmInfo. After the 2018 revolution, the Cabinet of Ministers of Armenia has decided to increase pensions 5 times. This statement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in social media.
In addition, since 2022, 16 billion 500 million drams have been returned to pensioners under the cashless transaction refund system (cashback for pensioners and persons receiving benefits when paying by bank card - ed.).
The number of pensioners using the refund system is steadily growing and in December 2024 amounted to 289 thousand 813 people>, - Pashinyan said. Let us recall that the minimum pension in Armenia is 36 thousand drams (about $90), and the average is about 50 thousand drams (slightly more than $120).
