ArmInfo.The population of Armenia increased by 2.2% or 84.6 thousand people by 2025, reaching 3.076 million people. This is evidenced by data from the RA Statistical Committee.
In particular, the population of Yerevan increased by 3.2% in the past year, exceeding 1.141 million people. This means, that 37.1% of the total population of the country is concentrated in the capital. According to statistics, the urban population by 2025 was 1.986 million people, with an annual growth rate of 3.7%. The rural population also saw an increase by 1.3% in the reporting year, totaling over 1.090 million people.
Out of the entire population of Armenia, 64.5% are urban residents (with 57.5% living in Yerevan), and the 35.5% are rural residents.
