Representatives of Human Rights Defender met with ZCMC employees

On behalf of Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan, representatives of the Human Rights  Defender left for the Syunik region to investigate the human rights issues raised by employees of the Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC). They also aimed to assess the state citizens rights protection and address concerns about working conditions, the statement of the Ombudsman's Office says.

According to the information, Aram Minasyan, the head of the  Department for the Protection of Human Rights in the Sphere of  Criminal Justice and the Armed Forces at the Human Rights Defender's  Office, along with the Vladimir Hovhannisyan, the head of the  Department for the Protection of Civil, Socio- Economic and Cultural  Rights, and Ani Mnatsakanyan, the head of the Syunik Regional  Department, got acquainted with the situation on the spot and held  meetings with ZCMC employees.  "All human rights concerns will be  considered and presented to the Human Rights Defender," the statement  said.
