Meanwhile, according to the message of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, due to bad weather in Georgia, the passage of heavy vehicles on the Georgian Military Road is restricted. Restrictions have been introduced on the passage of heavy-duty vehicles along the Georgian Military Road from the city of Vladikavkaz to the settlement of Lars in the direction of exit from the Russian Federation. The restrictions have been introduced due to the deterioration of weather conditions in Georgia, the impossibility of ensuring safe passage, and also taking into account the recommendations of the Georgian Border Police.
The Georgian Military Road is the only highway that can be used to travel from Russia to Georgia and Armenia.
