ArmInfo. The Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports that as of the morning of February 18, roads are closed in  Armenia.

In particular, the road leading from the high-mountain meteorological  station "Amberd" to Lake Kari is closed. In the highlands of the  Syunik region, icy conditions are observed in places.

According to information received from the Department of Emergency  Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the  Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of  Russia in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed to  all types of vehicles.

Meanwhile, according to the message of the Ministry of Emergency  Situations of Russia in North Ossetia, due to bad weather in Georgia,  the passage of heavy vehicles on the Georgian Military Road is  restricted.  Restrictions have been introduced on the passage of  heavy-duty vehicles along the Georgian Military Road from the city of  Vladikavkaz to the settlement of Lars in the direction of exit from  the Russian Federation.  The restrictions have been introduced due to  the deterioration of weather conditions in Georgia, the impossibility  of ensuring safe passage, and also taking into account the  recommendations of the Georgian Border Police.

The Georgian Military Road is the only highway that can be used to  travel from Russia to Georgia and Armenia.
