
ArmInfo. There are closed and difficult to pass roads in Armenia as reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
In particular, the road to Lake Kari and the high-mountain weather station "Amberd" is closed.The Vardenyats Pass (snow, fog) is closed for trucks with trailers, and difficult for trucks to pass. All highways in the Lori region, Berd-Chambarak (H-38), Noyemberyan-Ijevan (M-16), Berd-Ijevan (H-37) and the section leading from the Jermuk city junction to are closed for trucks and difficult to pass for other vehicles. The Spitak-Gyumri and Syunik region highways are closed for trucks with trailers and difficult to pass for all types of vehicles. Dilijan (M-4) turns are also difficult to pass for trucks with trailers.
The roads from M-3 highway to Shenkan village and Tigranashen turns (snow) are difficult to pass for all types of vehicles. Snowfall is reported in Syunik region, Yeghegnadzor and Vayk (Vayots Dzor region). Black ice is present on roads in the Aragatsotn region, between the villages of Ayrenyats and Landzhik on the Gyumri-Yerevan highway, as well as on the turns of Dilijan and Tigranashen (blizzard). A blizzard is also reported on the Fantan-Jraber highway and the Saravan-Zanger section. "For safety reasons, drivers must drive only cars with winter tires," the Rescue Service said in a statement. According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed to all types of vehicles.
