ArmInfo. The EAEU may well qualify for participation in the G20, as stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during a press conference following a meeting of the G20 foreign ministers in South Africa.
"Since last year, the African Union recently became a full member of the G20. The League of Arab States and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States are also interested in achieving the same status. We welcome this attitude and believe that at some point the EAEU may well qualify for a similar status," the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said. In this regard, he pointed out that all of the aforementioned associations are showing positive progress in their role in advancing international economic relationships.
