
ArmInfo. In 2025, the growth rate of the Armenian economy will remain high. This is stated in the latest macroeconomic review of the Eurasian Development Bank.
According to EDB analysts, the country's GDP growth rate is projected to increase by 5.5% this year.
According to the results of 2024, Armenia's GDP grew by 5.9%. The largest contribution to GDP growth was made by the services sector - trade, real estate transactions and financial activities, as well as construction (increased by 16.8%, 19.0%, 18.1%, and 13.5%, respectively). Household consumer spending and investment were the main drivers on the demand side (growth by 6.6% and 11.1%, respectively), and net exports had a positive effect - exports of goods and services increased by 35.6%, imports - by 31.4%.
It should be noted that Armenia's economic growth in the state budget for 2025 is envisaged at 5.1%. But the IMF and the World Bank predict a further slowdown in GDP growth in 2025 - to 4.9% and 5%, respectively. The Central Bank predicts either an acceleration in GDP growth to 7.1% or a slowdown to 4.8% for 2025, depending on the inflation trajectory.
