
ArmInfo.From February 26 to 28, the 49th meeting of the member states of the Joint Board of Customs Services of the Eurasian Economic Union was held in Yerevan. Delegations from Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan participated in the meeting.
As reported by the press service of the SRC, Armenia's SRC Chairman Eduard Hakobyan welcomed the participants of the meeting and expressed confidence that the 49th meeting would be another step towards deepening cooperation and increasing the efficiency of customs services in EAEU member states. The joint customs services of the Eurasian Economic Union member states focus on developing and adopting documents that maximize the trade and economic potential of EAEU member states. Hakobyan expressed confidence that the discussion would provide an opportunity to find common solutions for developing cooperation among member states of the EAEU, as well as simplifying customs procedures for participants in foreign economic activities.
At the 49th meeting, a decision was made to appoint Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, as Deputy Chairman of the Joint Board of Customs Services of the EAEU member states. During the meeting, approximately 20 decisions were discussed and signed, mainly aimed at resolving issues that have arisen in law enforcement practice and offering approaches to a single solution. A decision was made to hold the next, 50th meeting of the Joint Board of Customs Services of the Eurasian Economic Union member states in the second quarter of 2025 in the Kyrgyz Republic.
