Albert Avdolyan and Samvel Karapetyan ranked 47th and 49th on Forbes  list of 125 billionaires in Russia

ArmInfo. Four of our compatriots have been included in the list of the 125 richest Russian billionaires, according to the Russian edition of Forbes.  Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Management Company <Elga> Albert Avdolyan is in 47th spot, with  $2900 million.

According to the magazine, the Management Company  <Elga> oversees coal assets in the Far East, specifically the Yakut  Fuel and Energy company. The Elga Coal Complex, managed by Elga  Management Company, is developing the largest coking coal deposit in  Russia with reserves of over 2.2 billion tons. From 2020 to 2023, 220  billion rubles were invested in the development of Elga Management  Company projects. It is noted that Avdolyan's New World Foundation  financed the creation of the Future Point educational complex in  Irkutsk, with plans for a similar complex in Yakutia. According to  the publication, Avdolyan, who was born in Krasnodar, holds  citizenship of Russia, Armenia and Malta. 

Samvel Karapetyan, President of the Tashir Group of Companies, also  ranked 47th  with a fortune of $2.9 billion. The Tashir Group employs  45,000 people and operates in real estate, construction, energy,  finance, production of building materials, and restaurants. The  group's total revenue in 2023 exceeded 225 billion rubles. In 2023,  Fora-Bank, a part of the JSCB group, opened 24 new offices (there are  now 160  in 18 regions of Russia). Since 2017, Tashir has owned the  Izvestia newspaper building in Moscow's center, which it planned to  reconstruct, but approvals are progressing slowly. In 2023, a 17,000  sq. m coworking space of the Atmosfera network, a part of Tashir,  opened there.. The Tashir group also includes the Electric Networks  of Armenia company, serving over 1 million consumers. In 2023, it  earned $89 million in EBITDA.

 Andrey Andreev (Ohanjanyants) is ranked 66th  with a fortune of $  2,100 million. Ohanjanyants is a private investor who lives in London  and was born in 1974. The entrepreneur acquired his capital from  selling a stake in the MagicLab holding in November 2019. At that  time, the investment company Blackstone purchased Andrey Andreev's  stake in MagicLab for $2.25 billion and  united the dating services  Badoo, Bumble, Chappy and Lumen.  The publication reports that the  London restaurant L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon (two Michelin stars)  served soup "In Andrey's Style", which he cooked on Friday evenings  in the restaurant kitchen next to the famous chef Oliver Limousin.  Ohandzhanyants is a dual citizen of Russia and Briain.

Another private investor, Artem Khachatryan, has a fortune of $1,6  billion. He is 49 years old and lives in Cyprus. Khachatryan  graduated from the Moscow State Mining University in 1997. He started  his business with partners Sergey Lomakin (No. 79), Alexander Samonov  and Igor Zhuravlev, distributing coffee. With the first two, he  founded the Kopeika chain of grocery discounters in 2007. The  entrepreneur acquired his main capital from the sale of shares in the  Fix Price chain of low-price stores, created jointly with Lomakin in  2007. In December 2023, he sold all his Fix Price shares to Lomakin  (34.2% of shares) and Fix Price CEO Dmitry Kirsanov (1%). In March  2021, Fix Price held an IPO, with a capitalization of $8.3 billion.  In 2012, Lomakin and Khachatryan became  partners in the investment  company Quadro Capital Partners, founded and led by former partner of  Troika Dialog, managing director of Director of Troika Capital  Partners, Giedrius Pukas.
