Armenia, Estonia discuss trade, economic cooperation

ArmInfo. Deputy Minister of  Economy of Armenia Narek Hovakimyan received State Secretary of the  Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Marin Ratnik and Special  Representative for the Eastern Partnership Gert Ansun.

The parties discussed issues of trade and economic cooperation,  export promotion, trade diversification, and modernization of quality  infrastructures. During the conversation, they attached importance to  the process of implementing the Armenia- EU Comprehensive and  Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and bilateral and multilateral  cooperation carried out within the framework of the EU Eastern  Partnership.

During the meeting, Narek Hovakimyan also presented to the guests the  government's project "Crossroads of the World", which can become an  important component of both regional and broader economic  cooperation. It should be noted that according to Customs data, the  customs value of goods exported from Armenia to Estonia decreased by  6.2% in the first half of 2024, amounting to only $497 thousand. The  customs value of imported goods decreased by 58.6% to $1.1 million.
