Pashinyan discusses product  labeling system

ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has chaired a meeting  to address issues related to the product labeling system and  identification tools.

As reported by the press service of the Armenian government, the meeting highlighted key challenges and potential solutions in the process, emphasizing the goal of  establishing a comprehensive product traceability system  from manufacturer to the consumer.  Participants discussed the progress that had been made. Pashinyan instructed to continue working on discussions based on the comments and suggestions made  to improve the system and achieve the intended goals.

The Armenian authorities justify the introduction of a new product labeling systems with the obligations assumed within the framework of the EAEU. It is proposed to introduce identification marking in stages, setting different implementation dates for different groups of goods. For example, drinks, and canned goods - from March 1, 2025, dairy products - from June 1, 2025, oils - from September 1, 2025, and medicines, cosmetics, perfumes - from January 1, 2026. It is noted that this will allow organizations to have a mutually recognizable system.
