ArmInfo. Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia Kristine Galechyan received Yevgeny Zhukov, Director General of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Central and West Asia.
The parties discussed current cooperation programs with the Asian Development Bank, ways to improve their effectiveness, and potential new initiatives to develop Armenia's infrastructure. Particularly, they considered the possibility of the Bank's participation in the reconstruction of the Dilijan and Pushkin tunnels, sections of the M6 interstate road damaged by the May floods last year. They also discussed the reservoir construction programs in Armenia and the opportunities for enhancing cooperation between the parties in this area. The interlocutors emphasized the importance of ADB investments in road construction, energy and water resources management sectors in Armenia, highlighting the need to continue joint programs.
