ArmInfo. The Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC) of Armenia fined bookmakers for almost 1 billion drams.
In particular, according to the CPC, the agency imposed fines in the amount of 363,396,000 drams, 298,770,000 drams, 20,237,000 drams and 301,473,000 drams on KABARKO LLC, DIGITALINE LLC and SOFT CONSTRUCTION LLC for unfair competition, including unfair competition expressed in misleading the public.
As a result of the procedural actions carried out, it was established that
1. Marketing messages sent to citizens are of an advertising nature.
2. The messages were sent without separate direct consent of citizens and without limiting the term of such consent.
3. The messages did not contain the necessary warning information about age restrictions and losses.
