The turnover of agricultural products between Russia and Armenia in 2024 increased by 16.2% compared to the previous year, as stated by Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach at an expanded meeting of the Russian-Armenian Business Council, according to TASS.
Particularly, he emphasized that Russian product exports to Armenia rose by 9.7%, and imports - by 21.8%. In this vein, Volvach pointed out that Russia remains Armenia's primary partner country in agricultural imports. the Deputy Minister said.
According to the latest official data, the trade turnover of agricultural products between Armenia and Russia (in 2021) surged by 19.8% to $903.1 million, with Armenian exports to Russia growing by 24.7% to $543.3 million. Overall, according to Armenian data, the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Russia in 2024 increased by 56.5%, reaching $12.4 billion. However, exports decreased by 10.7% to $3.2 billion, amidst a 2.1-fold increase to $9.2 billion in imports.
