Armenia proposes Vietnam to sign an agreement on avoidance of double  taxation

ArmInfo. Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan received Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of  Vietnam Tran Quang Phuong and the members of the Vietnamese  parliament on April 4.  As noted in the press release of the NA press  service, the guests are in Armenia within the framework of the NA  Chairman of Vietnam, Tr?n Quang Ph?n.

Welcoming the official visit of such a representative delegation to  Armenia, the RA NA Vice President noted that our country has a warm  dialogue with Vietnam, which has a tendency to develop continuously.   According to his assessment, the recent visit of the RA NA President  Alen Simonyan to Vietnam and the reciprocal visit of the NA Chairman  of Vietnam to Armenia create new opportunities for the development of  the dialogue.

Hakob Arshakyan highlighted the boosting of the ties in different  spheres between the two countries, spoke about the opportunities of  cooperation in the fields of military industry and defense. According  to his assessment, the Armenian participation in the Defense Expo  2024 Exhibition held in Vietnam is also an indicator of cooperation.  The NA Vice President also considered important the presence of the  Vietnamese companies in the similar events being held in our country.

According to Hakob Arshakyan, the signing of agreements on the mutual  abolition of visa requirements and air communications and the  establishment of direct flights between the two states could be of  key importance. As for cooperation in the financial sector, he  proposed to start negotiations on signing an agreement on the  avoidance of double taxation. The NA Vice President also attached  importance to the development of ties in the sphere of education.   The RA NA Vice President presented to the guests the regional  challenges, the ongoing negotiations on the peace treaty between  Armenia and Azerbaijan, and stated that the Armenian side is ready to  sign the mutually agreed document.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam, in his turn,  valued the regional peace and stability, expressed support for the  process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.   Tr?n Quang Ph?n also highly appreciated the friendly relations  established between Armenia and Vietnam, and emphasized the  importance of deepening multipolar cooperation. Reference was also  made to the agendas of cooperation on inter-parliamentary platforms.
