Within the framework of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, held in Tashkent from April 5 to 9, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan met with the head of the delegation of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates to the Inter-Parliamentary Union and Vice President of the Inter- Parliamentary Union. As reported by the press service of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, during the meeting the Vice Speaker noted that the UAE is one of the important reliable partners of Armenia.
Hakob Arshakyan highlighted the development of cooperation between the legislative bodies and underscored that the platforms in different parliamentary formats give an opportunity to discuss numerous issues of mutual interest. He presented to his counterpart the situation in the South Caucasus, highlighting the establishment of peace in the region and reaffirming the commitment of the Republic of Armenia to the peace agenda.
Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi expressed his support to the efforts of Armenia aimed at establishing peace in the region and underscored the necessity of the constructive steps in the global instability conditions. The interlocutors discussed a number of issues regarding the bilateral agenda. The RA NA Vice President presented to his colleague the Crossroads of Peace project initiated by the RA Government, stressing that the unblocking of the infrastructure will have its impact not only in the region, but also beyond it.
