ArmInfo. As part of his working visit to the United Arab Emirates, RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
As reported by the press service of the RA President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Vahagn Khachaturyan and thanked him for participating in the annual investment conference in Abu Dhabi.
The Sheikh stressed that the visits at such high-level demonstrate the strengthening of friendly relations and mutual trust between the two countries. In turn, Vahagn Khachaturyan expressed gratitude for the warm reception and invitation and noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the United Arab Emirates, bilateral ties have been continuously developing. As a vivid example, he cited the fact that there are about 30 direct flights per week between Armenia and the UAE.
During the meeting, the presidents explored opportunities to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, particularly, in energy and infrastructure. The main focus was on taking necessary steps to improve the investment environment and increase the effectiveness of the implementation of joint initiatives. The President of the Republic of Armenia commended the achievements of the UAE in various fields, emphasizing the country's exemplary development approaches and strategic vision. He also praised the annual Abu Dhabi Investment Conference as an effective platform for creating connections and promoting effective interaction between representatives of states and business communities, investors and industry organizations.
