ArmInfo. The Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia, Vahe Hovhannisyan, met with the Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Jeroen Clicq.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry, the meeting involved discussions on the macroeconomic situation in Armenia, the progress in implementing structural control indicators within the framework of the Fund-supported reserve program, and several important issues related to the draft Memorandum on the economic and financial policies of the IMF. Vahe Hovhannisyan noted that the Ministry of Finance is guided exclusively by the obligations assumed within the IMF program when developing and implementing the policy. The Minister expressed hope that the close political dialogue established with the IMF will continue in the future, and that all necessary measures will be taken to achieve the benchmarks set within the IMF-supported program.
