ArmInfo. On April 30, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, to discuss the concept of developing the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
As reported by the press service of the government, RA Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan noted that the vision for the development of the Rescue Service is important in completing the chain of reforms of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and presented ways to resolve the issues raised in the concept, including information on the development of the sectoral policy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, monitoring the policy pursued in the sector, monitoring the activities of hazardous industrial facilities, coordinating activities at the republican level in emergency situations, mandatory insurance in these sectors, defining requirements, and developing standards. The new structure of the Rescue Service and the standard structure of the Yerevan and regional rescue departments were also discussed.
The meeting also addressed issues related to the compulsory insurance process for hazardous production facilities, the establishment of a single operational management center, a warning service, the training and retraining of rescuers, and the logistical support for the emergency rescue service. Nikol Pashinyan directed the team to focus on the process of compulsory insurance of hazardous production facilities. The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of updating the geoportal with information on hazardous production facilities and identifying potentially risky assets.
