ArmInfo. Armenia and Sweden have reached an agreement on expanding innovative, technological and investment cooperation, as well as long-term mutually beneficial cooperation. This was reported by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, citing the results of the visit of Deputy Minister Ruben Simonyan to Sweden to participate in the Business Seminar on Armenia event.
In particular, the agreements were reached during Simonyan's meetings with representatives of both government agencies and the private sector of Sweden, with the aim of promoting bilateral economic cooperation, especially in the areas of high technology, information technology and telecommunications, investing in Armenia and implementing mutually beneficial programs.
During the business seminar, the Deputy Minister presented the potential and opportunities of the high-tech industry of Armenia to the participants of the event. According to the source, the possibilities of cooperation between Armenia and Sweden in the fields of high technology, information technology and telecommunications, the current state of the technological and complex investment environment in Armenia, the interest of Swedish technology companies and possible prerequisites for partnership, various formats of cooperation in the field of IT and telecommunications, including the development and implementation of joint programs, promoting the interaction of research institutes and startup ecosystems, opportunities for exchanging experience aimed at developing professional competencies, as well as educational cooperation were discussed.
The event was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Sweden and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, and was attended by more than 50 representatives of Swedish business and the public sector.
