ArmInfo. Armenia plans to once again extend the ban on export of some agricultural products. The draft government resolution is posted on the single portal of legal acts.
As stated in the explanatory note to the document, the decision establishes a temporary (for a period of 6 months) ban on the export of several agricultural products, including wheat, meslin, barley, corn, buckwheat, sunflower seeds, and sunflower oil (TN VED EAEU EFTA AA 1001 19 000 0, 1001 99 000 0, 1003 90 000 0, 1005 90 000 0, 1008 10 000, 1206 00 990 0, 1512 11 910, 1512 11 910, 1512 19 900 2, 1512 19 900 9). The decision, developed by the Ministry of Economy, aims to ensure food security and economic stabilization in the Republic of Armenia. It is noted that domestic production of these products does not cover the needs of the RA market, which are primarily fulfilled through imports. The ban does not affect goods imported to Armenia and then re-exported from the country in accordance with the customs procedure.
