ArmInfo. In 2026, the government plans to increase the funding for the modernization of water supply and drainage systems in Armenian cities. This was stated by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia David Khudatyan during the government hour, when responding to a question from parliamentarians about the recent flooding in Yerevan due to heavy rain, which affected several streets and a metro station.
Khudatyan noted that discussions have already taken place with officials from the mayor's office regarding drainage and water supply systems. Currently, research is being carried out in the most problematic areas. The Minister noted that all road construction projects in the country include a component for upgrading drainage systems.
