ArmInfo. The information and communication technology (ICT) sector in Armenia grew by 9% annually in Q1 (compared to 17.3% growth the previous year), resulting in revenue of 284.1 billion drams ($718.5 million).
According to data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia, the services sector is the dominant segment in Armenia's ICT, accounting for 64.1% or 182.2 billion drams (an annual growth of 18.7%). Within this sector, information technology represents the largest portion with 142.2 billion drams (an annual growth of 24.5%), while the telecommunications segment makes up 38.1 billion drams (an annual growth of 1.5%).
In contrast, the production segment of ICT is very small (0.02%) or 54 million drams, which is 35.4% lower than the previous year. Revenue in the ICT sector for the trading sector decreased by 4.8% - to 102 billion drams during the reporting period. Note that the average exchange rate of the dram in January-March 2025 was AMD 395.42 / $ 1.
