According to him, the dynamics of job growth in Armenia has been recorded since 2021. Moreover, an increase in the number of employees is observed in almost all areas. Thus, Papoyan reported that in the retail sector during the reporting period, the number of new jobs increased by 6 thousand, in the software development sector - by 1.2 thousand, in the construction sector (both public and private) - by about 4.4 thousand, in catering - by 1.8 thousand, in the healthcare sector - by 2.4 thousand, in the financial sector - by 1.2 thousand jobs.
At the same time, wages in the financial sector, on average, according to him, increased by more than 33%, in healthcare, the gaming business, and catering - from 3 to 5%, but wages in clothing production decreased by 10%, in construction - by 3.5%, and in retail trade - by 2.6%.
In other areas, no changes were registered. The Minister also noted that if we compare March of this year with March 2024, the number of employees receiving a salary of up to 150 thousand drams decreased by 0.1%. This class of workers accounts for almost 50% of the labor market. The number of employees receiving a salary of over 150 thousand drams increased by 8.2%, reaching 326,375. At the same time, over the year, the number of specialists in the country whose salary is 2 million drams and above increased by 1.7 thousand people. If in the first quarter of 2024.
