ArmInfo.On May 21, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Eduard Hakobyan met with the head of the expert group of the International Monetary Fund, Michael Andrew Hardy.
According to the SRC, the meeting focused on assessing the efficiency of the Committee's tax administration based on the Tax Administration Diagnostic Assessment Tool (TADAT), launched by the International Monetary Fund on May 12. During the assessment, the expert group generally studies the activities of the SRC for 2022-2024.
During the conversation, the Chairman of the SRC emphasized the significance of the work being done, stressing the importance of identifying both the achievements and shortcomings of the system. It was noted that determining further development directions should be based on its comparison with advanced international experience, especially considering the current stage of developing the SRC's strategic programs. The parties then reviewed preliminary assessments of each area of the project in progress, emphasizing the importance to enhance the transparency of the State Revenue Committee's activities and to build public trust in the organization.
