ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received participants of the IGorts program, which aims to attract Diaspora specialists to work in the state administration of the Republic of Armenia.
As reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of implementing the IGorts program and noted that these meetings, which have already become traditional, provide an opportunity to discuss various issues, share impressions about the public administration system and the developments in Armenia.
High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan thanked the Prime Minister for receiving the program participants and provided details about the program. It was noted that this year 9 countries are participating in the program: the USA, France, Iran, Russia, Georgia, Lebanon, Hungary, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. The program participants work in various fields such as education, culture, information technology, economics, urban development, ecology and other sectors. Zareh Sinanyan noted that while the initial goal was to ensure 25% repatriation, over the past few years 70% of the IGorts program participants have chosen to stay in Armenia.
The program participants expressed gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Armenia for the opportunity to work in various government agencies within the framework of the IGorts program. They shared their impressions and presented proposals. Nikol Pashinyan also answered questions from the meeting participants, which covered topics such as the environment, the 300 Schools, 500 Kindergartens program, decentralization, regional processes, the Crossroads of Peace project, the ideology of Real Armenia, and the balancing and balanced foreign policy of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, among other topics
