ArmInfo. Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), received Ruslan Davydov, Minister for Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). According to the SRC press service, the meeting focused on the current cooperation in customs regulation within the EAEU and the potential for its development. The parties discussed the implementation of several planned initiatives, including improvements to the existing legal framework.
The meeting also addressed issues aimed at increasing the efficiency of the customs transit procedure within the territory of the EAEU, particularly, the launch of relevant shipments under the Agreement on the Unified Customs Transit System of the Eurasian Economic Union and Third Parties, the Agreement on the Procedure for Using Location Seals on the Territory of the EAEU, and various aspects of information exchange. Additionally, the parties discussed mechanisms related to customs, within the draft program of measures for implementing the Declaration on the "Eurasian Economic Path" for the further development of economic processes within the EAEU until 2030 and 2045. Logistical equipment for checkpoints across the state border was a topic of discussion as well.
The EEC Minister for Customs Cooperation noted with particular satisfaction the importance of the "Single Window" mechanism, operated by the State Revenue Committee, and emphasized that in this regard, the State Revenue Committee can play an exemplary role in the implementation and coordination of this mechanism by other EAEU member states.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue and develop cooperation in all areas within the EAEU.
