ArmInfo.Armenia will receive a EUR 236 million loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) under the Sustainable and Inclusive Road Sector Improvement Project for the construction of the 27.12 km northern section of the Sisian-Kajaran road. The relevant loan agreement received a positive conclusion from the parliamentary committee on financial and credit issues on June 13 and was included in the agenda of the NA plenary session.
Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia Kristine Ghalechyan, presented the document and noted that the northern section is planned to be implemented with co-financing from the ADB and the European Investment Bank (EIB). The co-financing from the EIB will amount to 99 million euros. The project will also be co-financed by the Republic of Armenia.
