ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia has once again left the refinancing rate unchanged at 6.75%. This decision was made on June 17 at a meeting of the Central Bank Board.
The Lombard repo facility rate remains at 8.25% and the deposit facility rate at 5.25%, both unchanged from the previous level.
From mid-2023 to February 2025, (thereafter it has not changed), the key rate was reduced by 4 percentage points (dropping from a historically high of 10.75%). During this period, the rates on Lombard repos and deposits attracted from banks also decreased by the same amount (by 4 percentage points), going from a maximum of 12.25% and 9.25%, respectively, in December 2022 ( maintained until June 2023). Currently, the refinancing rate, rates on Lombard repos and rates on deposits are above the minimum levels of 4.25%, 5.75% and 2.75%, respectively, recorded in the second half of 2020. According to statistics, in May 2025, , inflation was recorded at 4.3% compared to 0.3% in May 2024. The Central Bank's baseline annual inflation rate for May has not yet been published, but in April, annual inflation was at 2.4% (compared to a 0.5% annual deflation in April 2024).
